[ Travelling through the mountains was a... new-ish venture. There were times when the battledome was too full to use and Red didn't feel like waiting around for one to open up. Regardless of that the boy wasn't one to lax on training ever if he was looking to take part in some, and spending the day out - even if it meant making the journey through the pathless, rocky mountains - didn't sound like too bad of an exercise in his head that particularly morning. Why not.

They had set out out morning, but by lunch time, the progress from an aerial view might've not... looked like much. If one wanted to get to the beach on foot, it would take more than just a single day. Absolutely more.

It was dangerous too, and the four of them were relying on each other to do what they could to make it easier, all with different solutions. They had, at least, found a good spot to rest after the length they had been out there, a flat ground up upon a high-ish point. Not a tip, but hey, good enough. Snorlax at least thought so, rolling from his position on all fours and onto his back with heavy breaths. No more, guys. No more.

The day above them was rather clear, but heyyy heyy, maybe a big majestic birdy will like to change that. Incoming surprise Lugia please Y/N? ]

[Surprise indeed. While it was rare, Lugia did explore the skies on occasion. Since there is no Ho-oh here in Luceti, he's able to do that without coming into a potential confrontation.

The guardian was cruising low along the mountains when he suddenly feels a familiar presence. He then turns upwards, rapidly ascending parallel to the mountain cliffs until he rushes past where Red is standing with his Pokemon. He then loops around and descends again to hover in the air just above them.

Hai there.]

[pokeboy]

[ You and Ho-Oh, man. You gotta work things out.

An approaching bullet of a figure is hard to miss as it comes up close, though one second it's there in view and in the next it's gone. But Red watches it go from one side to the other, body twisting with it and Pikachu climbing up onto his head to view wide-eyed the sight. Snorlax on the ground crumbles, looking this way and that but completely missing what the heck that oversized shadow was.

But oh, hi. Thanks to turning around again Lugia. ]

Lugia! You're still here! [ Because it has been more than a while. Whoops. ] How are you? Are you okay?

[ Pikachu at the end of that raises his paws and waves them to the pokémon. Heeellllooo! ]

[You try getting along with a temperamental fire bird that destroyed your tower.

The large Pokemon nods in response to Red.]

I am doing fine, Red. What about you?

[He looks to Pikachu also and acknowledges him with another nod and a sound of greeting.]

[pokeboy]

I'm fine. [ -- oh ] We all are.

[ Just ignore Snorlax laying around on his back. Actually, knowing who it is now he's getting up just... give him time...!! ] What have you been doing Lugia? Were you going somewhere?

[Lugia nods, glad to hear that they are all doing well.]

I have decided to explore. Something that I was not so able to do before coming here.

[pokeboy]

[ Oh, he remembers all about that tale. ]

I see... how far around have you been? Have you been near to the barrier yet?

[beastofthesea]

Not yet. I have explored the ocean, the rivers and lakes, and now the mountains.

[pokeboy]

Did you like it? How long have you been doing it for?

[beastofthesea]

Yes. Though I suppose I enjoy this new sense of freedom that I have here. I am not burdened with the responsibilities that I have in my own world.

[pokeboy]

Well.. if you ever want more to do... [ hmm... ]

Do you like battling? You know -- the friendly sort, nothing like we had to do back in Zompania. Could you ever battle like that before?

{Lugia tilts his head curiously.]

I have fought other Pokemon, but not in the way that you trainers battle.

[pokeboy]

Right, but - do you wanna try? It's just like practice, I guess. No one's going to try and take anyone down permanently. I don't know how well we'd be able to match up to someone like you, but [ and a smile does come onto the boy's face as he talks ] I think I'd like to try!

[Lugia considers it a moment before nodding.]

I will try.

[pokeboy]

[ Oh, boy...! Does he want to try right now? (yes he does) Red looks around, but, looking back up at Lugia - ]

I think we should eat first. [ There's a Snorlax over there and while he's sitting on his butt, yeah, YEAH. He'd rather punch down a mountain before climbing it, man. ] Are you hungry? If you want we could go back to the village and have some cake!

[At Red's offer, Lugia alights on the rocks right next to him.]

If that is what you wish. I can take you there as well.

[pokeboy]

Sure. I mean, if that's what you want to? If you want something different from fish... but I remembered you really liked all the cakes at the party.

[beastofthesea]

[Lugia nods.]

Then let us be going.

[The massive Pokemon then lowers down to the ground, offering to let Red climb onto his back.]

[pokeboy]

[ HEY, NO PROBLEM TO Red. Time to have a break in the ball Snorlax, you did good! And while there's a moment of WHAAAT from the pokémon before he gets sent into his ball for easy travelling, Red knows he won't get so much once he gets food.

Pikachu will have to stay out though, and Red lifts back up the gear he's got, trying to balance himself carefully but safely onto Lugia... hmm, hmm.. ]

Like this? Is this okay?

[Lugia looks back and nods once Red has climbed aboard.]

That is fine. Hold on.

[And with that, Lugia will spread his wings and leap off the edge of the mountain. For a moment they're in a dive, until the massive Pokemon lifts up and soars into the sky.

[pokeboy]

[ WOAHHH woah woah there, Lugia! It's a good thing they're already holding on, Pikachu as well, the wind blowing through the spaces in Red's arms and against his body making it all clear that if he were to let go, he'd go flying in a less than impressive way.

But nobody ain't gonna be focusing on that when they're getting a ride on a totally majestic pokémon. Red laughs as Lugia soars, a rush travelling through his body. Yeah, Red is going to enjoy this ride to the village, birdbro. ]
